The Sun moves from Libra into Scorpio this month, shifting the emphasis from social concerns toward a more intuitive and emotion focused feel for Capricorn.

The Moon is Full in Aries on October 4, so emotions peak and colour shifts are more obvious around that date. New Moon in Libra on October 18, a quieter reset point within the month.

Mood pattern for Capricorn, October 2009: The Moon leans toward lighter yellow tones, so days feel busy, social and mentally active.

This month contains 7 supportive days (♥ or +), 22 communication days (@), and 23 tension days (! or -).

Tension days shape the story more than the soft ones, so boundaries, patience and timing become key themes.

Relationship focus, strongest with Virgo, and a few sharper moments with Libra and Cancer.

Supportive and testing aspects take turns, giving you chances to push forward and moments where you need to slow down.

Planets active for Capricorn this month: the Moon every day, plus Venus on relationship and social tone days, Mercury on important conversation or decision days and Mars on the more driven or tense days. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto also touch your chart at points in the month, bringing slower background themes that sit underneath the daily mood.

Jupiter and Saturn both play a part in the background, pairing growth and new opportunities with reality checks, deadlines or long range commitments.
