Your Cancer weekly Horoscope for the seven days starting Monday 05 October 2026:

For Cancer, Monday October 5th 2026 to Sunday October 11th 2026, Venus retrograde in Scorpio brings a relationship matter back into your thoughts and you will need to decide how much freedom you are prepared to give someone you love. Holding on too tightly will not bring the reassurance you want. Libra Season brings a more peaceful mood and gives you both the chance to step away from an argument before something is said that will be difficult to forget. Someone close to you needs their own time and space. Give it to them. This does not mean they are walking away from you.

As the Moon moves into Virgo on Wednesday October 7th, you will begin to look at what has happened in a more practical manner. Think about what started the disagreement rather than going over every word that was said afterwards. You will realise that some distance will give both of you the chance to decide what you really want. Do not keep asking for an answer before the other person is ready to give one. Cancer needs security, but forcing somebody to make a decision will only push them further away. Let matters settle for a while. If there is still a strong bond between you, a little time apart will not destroy it.

Giving a loved one their own time and space doesn't necessarily mean the end off a relationship. You should both take this as an opportunity to think hard about what it is you both really want. If you are truly meant to be together it will happen no matter how far apart you are.

Mercury in Scorpio makes it difficult to ignore what has been left unsaid and by Thursday October 8th, Mercury Square Pluto will bring an important question into the open. There is no point pretending everything is fine if something has been troubling either of you. Speak honestly when the opportunity comes, but listen just as carefully to what you are told. You will learn far more by allowing the other person to speak freely than by trying to persuade them to see matters your way. Something you feared was the beginning of the end will look very different once you know how they really feel. The Moon moves into Libra on Friday October 9th and helps to restore some peace after a difficult few days. There will still be a decision to make, but it does not have to be made in anger.

The New Moon in Libra at the end of the week gives Cancer the chance to stop worrying about how far apart two people are and concentrate instead on whether the relationship is still worth fighting for. Do not chase after somebody simply because you are frightened of losing them. Give them room. They need to make their own choice and so do you. If the feelings between you are genuine, the distance will make that clear rather than bring the relationship to an end.
